Your Parish Council
The Parish Council is a statutory, corporate body, established under The Local Government Act. It is a local authority operating at the first tier of local government. It maintains public footpaths, notice boards etc. It pays the Parish Neighbourhood Watch subscription and grant-aids the Orston Primary School Playing Field. It also carries out a representative role, both statutory and non-statutory, in matters such as crime and disorder, planning applications and road safety.
