Ken will lead the Sunday walk, which will be a full-day one.
Please let me know if you have ideas for any of the morning walks and/or are willing to lead one of them.

Tuesday 15th May
Lyn & Tony will take the lead on the walk originally planned for 24th January. A reminder of the details:
Circular Walk Plungar, Stathern and Harby
Description: three villages, three remarkable churches and splendid hilltop views linked by country lans and meadow paths.
Parking: Plungar, limited roadside parking, Stathern Bridge - parking for approx five cars. Langar Bridge verge parking
Start: Canal at Plungar. Distance 8 miles
Terrain: There is a steep climb and descent at Stathern Woods, otherwise level meadows, lanes and towpath
Refreshments: Plungar - The Anchor Inn
If you would like a shorter walk you could join us at the Red Lion Inn at Stathern which is the halfway point. If we start at Plungar at 10.00am we should reach the Red Lion at approx 11.30am.
Hope to see you at one or both of these walks - and fingers crossed the weather improves soon

6 November - Peak Walk
Nine Walking Group members tackled this picturesque sojourn in the Peak District on a wonderfully sunny November day. Our youngest member, Emily Pritchett, acted as our guide and commentator for much of the route.

From 19 June Charnwood Forest

Charnwood Forest - Sunday 19th June
Father's Day did not deter the determined few on this 10 miles walk through Leicestershire's beautiful Charnwood Forest. We started by Cropston Reservoir through Swithland Wood and then took the steady climb to Beacon Hill with magnificent panoramic views over Charnwood Forest and the Trent and Soar valleys. After a pic-nic break the route passed the ruins of Ulverscroft Priory and through the picturesque village of Newtown Linford where we watered at the Bradgate pub. The final leg took us through Bradgate Park and Bradgate House the historic home of Lady Jane Grey, the 9 day queen.
