CHAPEL COFFEE MORNING SHOCK - CAKE CRISIS NARROWLY AVERTED!
by our Methodist correspondent.
Our second Friday Coffee morning was very well attended, again a friendly, chatty affair - and warm!
We were very pleased to welcome
Sally, our neighbourhood police officer, who sat and chatted with villagers about any concerns or issues they may have. (So coffee goers who had been surprised to see the police car outside were relieved to find that fighting had not in fact broken out in the battle for the biggest piece of fruit cake!).
The biggest shock of the day was that so many people came, which was great, that we nearly ran out of cakes! A dash was made to the Limehaus for delicious emergency supplies, and all was well.
Hope to see you on the next 4th-Friday -
26 March. There will be a raffle in aid of the Marie Curie daffodil Appeal.
Reminder as well,
7 March 6pm Songs of Praise - a sing song of your favourite hymns.

Orston Methodist Chapel holds services at 10am on the first and third Sunday of each month. We are a small but friendly group, with a less formal service format, ideal for family worship. You would be assured of a warm welcome & a good sing if you could join us at any time.

We have occasional special services, including a
Songs of Praise in the evening of Sunday 7th March, you would be very welcome.

Also, we are starting a
coffee morning on the 4th Friday of each month, the first one to be 22nd January. Tea/coffee & biscuits 50p, plus Special Attraction - Barbara's cakes! Please do come & join us for a sit in the warm & a drink & a chat. Open from 10am to Noon
