“Orston Garden Club has launched a new initiative to help encourage young children to become interested in gardening by forming a partnership with the local school.
Orston Primary School has joined the Garden Club, swelling the membership by 137.
We are so lucky to have such an excellent primary school in the village. The school works really hard with the pupils to encourage their interest in rowing flowers and vegetables in the school grounds, and the Garden Club is delighted they have accepted the offer to become members.

This will be a really exciting project where we can share ideas and work together. The project was launched on Tuesday February 21st at the school’s eco assembly with a presentation by Alan Mason, an internationally renowned garden designer.
It’s early days yet, but so far we have mapped out the tree
specimens growing within the school grounds and found a location for pond
dipping sessions.”
